If you love the Great Outdoors and would enjoy the thrill of walking through one of Wales's special places with a friendly guide to bring the experience to life then we have lots of guided walks to offer you.

Our Gentle walks are no more than 8kms (5 miles) in length. They are ideal for meeting and chatting to people, taking some photographs of the spectacular sites and learning a little bit about the area.

The walks are based on 2kms per hour (4-5 hrs in total). This gives plenty of time to discuss places of interest, some snack stops and many opportunities to take some great photos).

There are lots of walks to enjoy through out the Merthyr Tydfil Valley including:

*The Trevithic Trail which is 15.2kms (9 miles). It commemorates the first journey by a steam locomotive to pull a load on rails in 1804, the precursor of the railway age which changed the world in the 19th century.

*The Taff Trail which is 88kms (55miles) in distance. It starts in the market town of Brecon and ends in Cardiff Bay. This is a great walk to split into small chunks as a lot of it is designated traffic free and uses former tramways, railways and canals and present day canal towpaths & viaducts.
